Another fine product from Pete’s Pillars, this is a DIY kit which may be used for after market CZ 457 Stocks, or for the models that do not come from factory with stock pillars installed.
Pillar installation assists in accuracy as it prevents crushing of the stock and prevent stress cracks. Pillars also keep the action from twisting or moving. Consistency is key in accuracy.
The pillars are 1/2” (.4995) in diameter, CNC machined, and made of T6 6061 aluminium. These pillars are left long so that they can be trimmed to length by the installer, depending on the specific stock that you have. If the pillars are cut too short they will not do their job. The threaded rod is used to assist in placing the pillars and cutting to them to length.
NB! This a DIY kit. In order to utilize this kit you must drill out the stock, and “glue” these into place. Final fit and finish will need to be done during installation. A chamfer may be required on the bottom inner diameter of the pillars to allow for action screw fitment.
